I joined the practice in 1995 after working as a GP trainee at St Helens practice. I trained at Trinity Hall Cambridge and University College London. I started medicine later in my career after spending some years as Chief Science Officer for Cambridge Surgical Research Unit.

I developed an interest in paediatrics after a number of years working as a paediatric registrar in the 1990s. I have trained ten GP registrars since 1999 and have enjoyed the challenge. I am also an examiner for the Royal College of Practitioners.

My personal interests lie in music and I play the Scottish highland bagpipes. As a highly skilled and proficient piper, I can often be seen at public performances.

I was pleased to join the Practice in March 2015 as a full time partner after working here for the previous two and a half years - initially as a GP registrar and then on a regular GP locum basis.

I did my medical training at Guy's King's and St Thomas' medical school whilst at Kings College London University obtaining my MBBS in 2007. Whilst there I also obtained an Intercalated BSc in Clinical and Molecular Endocrinology.

I initially worked in London hospitals a junior doctor for a couple of years then travelled to New Zealand where I spent 9 months working in various specialities in Rotorua Hospital in North Island. I moved to the Isle of Wight in 2010 to start my GP vocational training and have lived here since. Outside of work, I enjoy going on countryside and coastal walks which the Island is perfect for.

Our nursing team is made up of 3 Practice Nurses. They support with wound care and assessments, chronic disease monitoring, ECGs, minor injuries, immunisations, travel immunisations and cervical screening.

Our Health Care Assistants support with phlebotomy, blood pressure monitoring, ECGs, B12 injections, wound care and health checks.

There are 4 members of our administration team, our Senior Administrator, 2 Practice Administrators/Secretaries and our Systems Administrator. 

Our Administrators undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice , including providing clerical support to our clinical staff and other members of the practice team. Our Secretaries support with referrals.

Our reception team consists of 9 Patient Advisors. They are the first point of contact within the surgery for our patients, either on our front desk at reception or on the telephone. Our Patient Advisors help with healthcare navigation, booking appointments and supporting with any other general enquires.

Within this team we also have 4 Prescription Clerks who can support with repeat prescription requests and any prescription queries.
