Test Results
Getting your test results
If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can:
- in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- in your SystmOnline account
- phone or visit us after 9am and we will tell you what the results are
Patients are asked not to book a telephone appointment for test results unless specifically requested to do so by the clinician.
Please contact the hospital for your results if the hospital requested your tests.

Non-NHS Services
Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:
- Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements
- Insurance claim forms
- Doctors letter
- Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
- Private sick notes
- Vaccination certificates
The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our Insurance Clerk, Hannah, will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.
We accept card payments, cash or bank transfers.

Phlebotomy
Blood tests are available at St Helens and Bembridge on different days throughout the week. These are for patients needing a blood test which has been requested by a clinician from St Helens Medical Centre
Family Planning
For discussions about contraception or menopause issues please book an appointment with Vicky Cooney (Nurse Specialist).
Diabetes
Patients are invited annually for a review.
Childhood Immunisations
Parents are invited to attend with their children at the relevant stages.
Coronary Heart Disease
Patients are invited annually for a review
Asthma & COPD
Patients will receive an invite to book an appointment for an annual review.
