Access & Facilities

Disabled Access

Both St Helens Medical Centre and Bembridge Branch Surgery have good disabled access.
The Medical Centre has a stair lift providing access to first floor consulting rooms. Patients unable to use the stair lift may be seen downstairs, and are asked to notify the receptionist at the time of booking.

Disabled toilet facilities are available at each surgery, fitted with a Red call switch in case of emergency. If the Red call switch is used and the alarm raised, staff will use the following procedure:

  1. Staff member will knock on the door.
  2. Staff will ask what assistance is needed.
  3. If no answer received, Practice Manager will be notified.
  4. Entry will be forced and assistance given.

Information in large print is available for visually impaired patients.

Type Talk service is available. Please let reception staff know if you wish to communicate with the surgery using this service.

An Induction Hearing Loop is available at both surgeries.

Baby Changing

Baby Changing Facilities are available on the first floor of the practice and at the Bembridge Branch surgery.

Parking

Limited parking is available at both surgeries. The practice cannot accept responsibility for damage or theft to vehicles and contents.
Parking is also available on the Upper and Lower Green roads in St Helens and on Foreland road in Bembridge.

Public Transport

Bus links to St.Helens are provided by Southern Vectis. Several taxi companies operate in the area.
